Anesthetist Professional - Hospital - MD/DA/DNB (1-5 yrs)
Job purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible to administer anesthesia to the patients during different operative procedures & management of critically ill patients in ICU/CCU in collaboration with physician.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate patients to formulate an adequate anesthetic plan.
- Manage and administer anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Administer various types of anesthesia i.e. local, spinal, general, regional etc.
- Record patient medical history and anesthetic amounts.
- Monitor, manage, and treat changes in patient functions during operations, including breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure.
- Monitor conditions of patients before, during, and after anesthesia to look out for adverse reactions.
- Order x-rays, ECG, laboratory tests, and other necessary diagnostic procedures as per requirement.
- Collaborate and communicate with other medical professionals to discuss treatment plans and provide high-quality patient care.
- Post-operative monitoring of patient.
- Comfortable to work as ICU specialist.
- Able to work as general physician in OPD if required.
- Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
- Should attend emergency call as per requirement.
- Endotracheal intubation and management of patients on ventilators.
- Should be well versed with basic ICU procedures & management.
- Handle medical emergencies in collaboration with general physician & other doctors.
- Review of medical records and trends and participate in general health and wellness initiatives.
- Attend ward rounds with other doctor, as required, and be available to discuss patient treatment plans.
- Provide a 24-hour medical service within the hospital on an on-call basis.
- Visit patients as required at the request of the nursing staff.
- To be completely familiar with anesthesia / emergency equipment.
- To ensure record of all treatments performed in patient notes.
- To keep a check on patient's medical records for any further testing and diagnosis required for family members of employees.
- Conversant with all the relevant acts, rules and regulations and government orders that may in force from time to time and must see that they are fully observed.
- To carry out cardiac arrest and other emergency procedures as per hospital policy.
- To initiate emergency treatments for patients, staff and visitors and complete appropriate documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : MBBS + MD / DA / DNB (Anesthesiology) from MCI
Recognized college.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 1+ years of experience in an anesthesiologist/ Intensivist role.
