Job description
1. Perform routine and non - routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments
2. Receive or collect, as well as process, samples
3. Calculate test results, and log and report results using a computer
4. Prepare and supervise experiments
5. Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary
6. Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area
7. Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
8. Monitor and observe experiments, recording production and test data for evaluation by research personnel
9. Monitor laboratory work to ensure compliance with set standards
10. Isolate, identify and prepare specimens for examination
