Job Description :

Role & Responsibility :

- To schedule donor appointments to maintain adequate supply of various types of blood.

- Donor Selection & Physical Examination.

- Monitoring phlebotomy & after donation status of Donors.

- Explaining the donors about TTD.

- To review & to approve SOPs & Procedures

- To review & monitor record keeping system, stocks, equipment validation & maintenance programs & equipment calibration records.

- Checking results of Blood Grouping. Compatibility Testing, Antibody screening tests & TTD.

- Monitoring of QC tests on Blood grouping reagents, kits, Hb, temperature of fridges, freezers & agitators.

- Monitoring the disposal of HIV, HBsAg, HCV, TPHA & MP positive bags.

- To review & approve training programs for Technicians.

- To help in conducting the meeting of Transfusion Committee to monitor the quality of Blood & its Components.

- Monitoring the whole process of collection of Blood, storage, Testing & Issue till Disposal of empty bags.

- Maintaining the records of Transfusion reaction & TTD & review of these cases.

- Preparation of Monthly & Quarterly reports of Blood Bank.

- Monitoring the cleanliness & fumigation of the Blood Bank.

- Help HOD in preparation of Duty Rota for the technicians.

- Conducting the proficiency tests for the technical staff.

- Any other responsibility to assist Head-Blood Bank for proper functioning of Blood Bank
