About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Attending Cardiologist with expertise in Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) to provide clinical oversight, quality assurance, and expert guidance in image analysis. The role involves defining annotation standards, reviewing image datasets, and serving as the final authority for resolving ambiguous cases to ensure clinical accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert interpretation of IVUS images with a focus on guidewire shadow identification.

- Define, document, and refine annotation standards for IVUS image analysis.

- Review a subset of annotated images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

- Serve as the final clinical authority to adjudicate and resolve edge cases or ambiguous findings.

- Collaborate with internal teams (clinical, research, and engineering) to align on annotation guidelines and quality benchmarks.

- Contribute clinical expertise to support development and validation of imaging-related projects.

Qualifications:

- Board-certified Cardiologist with clinical experience in interventional cardiology.

- Hands-on expertise with IVUS interpretation and analysis.

- Strong understanding of coronary anatomy, imaging artifacts, and clinical decision-making based on IVUS.

- Previous experience in medical imaging annotation, quality assurance, or clinical research is a plus.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.

- Availability to work on a part-time, remote basis.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, data scientists, researchers).

- Familiarity with intravascular imaging modalities beyond IVUS (e.g., OCT).

- Prior involvement in AI/ML, imaging research, or clinical trials.
