Educational Qualification : MSc. (Organic Chemistry/ Chemistry) with 1/ 4 years of practical synthetic chemistry.
Experience : 1 to 6 Years

Job Description :
1. Good knowledge in synthetic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, expertise in literature search using various databases, design of synthetic routes, multi-step synthesis, costing of processes.
2. Knowledge in process development, process optimization, scale up of organic compounds from lab grams scale to kilograms scale to tonnes scale.
3. Good lab safe practices with hands.
4. Knowledge in characterization of reactants, reactions, products and interpretation using chromatographic techniques like HPLC, TLC, GC, MS, NMR, FTIR, Handling of air and moisture sensitive chemicals & reactions.
5. Knowledge in isolation and purification techniques of organic compounds like distillation, crystallization, chromatographic techniques.
Other desirable technical skills :
1. Knowledge in using basic spread sheet applications in computer like MS office (word, power point, excel) and Windows.
2. Softer skills: Experience in guiding juniors team members in execution of multistep synthesis in parallel.
3. Commitment to research, compliance, safety.
4. Dedication to work, flexible timing, positive thinking, documentation of data, good team player.
5. Ability to communicate, make project presentations.
