Job Title: Consultant - Anesthesiologist (MD/DNB)

Reporting To: Head - Department of Anesthesiology / Medical Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced MD/DNB Anesthesiologist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing perioperative care, administering anesthesia, and ensuring patient safety during surgical and diagnostic procedures. The role requires clinical excellence, teamwork, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations across various specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, and critical care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pre-anesthetic evaluation and risk assessment of patients scheduled for surgery.

- Administer anesthesia (general, regional, local) for a wide range of surgical procedures.

- Monitor patients- vital signs intraoperatively and manage anesthesia-related complications.

- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management in recovery and ICU settings.

- Participate in code blue response and resuscitation efforts.

- Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia documentation.

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

- Work collaboratively with surgeons, nursing staff, and ICU teams.

- Participate in departmental audits, CME sessions, and academic activities, if applicable.

Qualifications:

- MD or DNB in Anesthesiology from a recognized medical institution.

- Valid State Medical Council Registration (mandatory).

- ACLS/BLS certification (preferred).

- 0- 5 years of experience (depending on the level of the position- junior/consultant/senior consultant).
