Job Description:
The Consultant Critical Care Medicine specialist will be responsible for managing critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. The role involves providing advanced life support, supervising ICU staff, coordinating with other specialties, and ensuring evidence-based, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessment and management of ICU patients
- Provide advanced life support, ventilator management, and emergency interventions
- Lead daily ICU rounds and supervise junior doctors and nursing staff
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Coordinate with other departments for multidisciplinary patient care
- Monitor and ensure adherence to infection control and quality protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in academic activities or training as required
