Consultant - Medical Oncologist - MD/DNB (0-1 yrs)
Medical Oncologist will take care on diagnosing and treating all cases of cancer. It focuses on:
- Hematological malignancies.
- Administering chemotherapy to patients.
- Cases of solid tumors in various settings.
- Basic research, clinical research, patient care, and such.
- High and low dose rate chemotherapy
- Day care chemotherapy
- Bone marrow aspiration
- Trucut biopsy
- Ascitic and pleural tapping, etc.
Cancer cases include :
- Tobacco-related cancers, such as those of lungs, oral cavity, voice box and oesophagus.
- Breast cancer.
- Uterine/ cervical cancer.
- Blood cancer, etc.
DM in Medical Oncology is about :
- Provision of multi-modality treatment.
- Identification of the side effects of the cancer therapy or treatment given.
- Management of the psychology of the patient.
- Provision of moral support to the patient.
Ideal candidates would possess the following skills:

- Good communication skills to convey their research findings and discuss treatment plans with other medical staff.

- Good eye-hand coordination and motivation.
