Job Description :
- Provide a vision and growth plan for the organization for academic excellence, patient care & Research.
- Standardize the curriculum across the colleges to bring uniformity and quality of delivery; develop new curriculum in line with the changes in the field.
- Bring about changes in the pedagogy as required from time to time.
- Promote publication of scholarly articles, research papers, textbooks by faculty members.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of all educational and development activities and initiate corrective actions as deemed fit.
- Guide and assist in faculty recruitment, retention, and performance management.
- Develop and implement innovative and technology driven methods of teaching and learning activities; Establish systems for quality Teaching and Research.
- Responsible for academic schedules, examinations, internal assessments and teaching outcomes.
- Interact and coordinate with outside institutions (National & International) for academic tie-ups pertaining to students exchange programs, medical education, Faculty development, Research project, workshops, seminars etc.
- Interact with Research organizations for Grants.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Critical Experiences :
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent; additional academic qualifications (e.g., PhD) are desirable.
- A distinguished record of accomplishment in medical education, research, and clinical practice; 20+ years experienced seasoned medical leader.
- A minimum of 10 years teaching experience as Professor /Associate Professor/ Reader in a medical college/ Institute out of which at least 5 years should be as Professor in a department. (Qualifications are subject to MCI rules and regulations)
