Deputy Medical Superintendent - Hospital - DNB (2-10 yrs)

- To take complete responsibility for the day to day smooth functioning of all the medical department in the hospital in coordination with Unit Head and respective HODs

- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the medical unit

- Government policies (PNDT, Transplant Act, Narcotics and Drugs compliance, Radiology license, medical certificates, etc) to be strictly adhered to. To keep the hospital ready at all the time for government and internal audits and inspections.

- Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel in the medical departments.

- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of doctors, nursing, technicians, Medical, clerical, etc

- Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability

- Supervise workings and attendance of consultants/visiting consultants, DMOs, Lab Staff, Dieticians, ER, lab and OT technicians, Ambulance, nursing staff etc

- Heading the medical records department and attending to medico-legal cases as pertaining to your unit, in coordination with the Group Legal advisor and Unit Head

- To supervise DMOs Appointment, postings, compliance to their JDs, trainings, etc

- To coordinate (with respective group heads) and supervise quality hospital infection control, nurses, clinical pharmacist, bio-medical departments, and strictly follow and implement NABH standards/policies.21. Monitor the use of radiology services, diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment and services

- Monitor stock of equipment, machineries, medicine, surgical items, dietary articles, etc

 -Develop or expand and implement medical program or health services that research, rehabilitation and community health

- Responsible for conducting periodical audits (as per NABH/internal committee recommendations)

 - Overseeing and monitoring RCA & CAPA on all the audit finding and reporting the findings to the medical director & and the respective unit head promptly

- To appoint members in respect of various committees and to conduct the meeting as recommended by NABH/management

- Enforce and implement practice in accordance with hospital policies and procedures

- Be responsible for all matters relating to hospital management, patient care and shall discharge all duties entrusted to him/her by senior authority

- Take care of patient grievance and promptly attend to patient feedback

- Attend to staff feedback and grievances. Counselling of nursing staff, papa medical staff, labour medical staff with the help of NS and HR

- To coordinate and implement courses such as DNB/Fellowship/Diploma

- To send a daily report to the medical director and unit head.
