Digital Doctor (3-5 yrs)

The Digital Doctor is part of the care team under the NEEM program; a highly affordable healthcare subscription program in which care is driven by evidence-based protocols. He/she will work closely with other members of the team (including remotely, overseeing community health workers (CHWs)) to ensure the best possible care is available to all subscribers of NEEM and that positive health outcomes are enabled.

Responsibilities include:

A) Health Worker-related responsibilities

(i) Oversee the training and ongoing certification of CHWs. Where necessary, the DD will directly serve as the trainer

(ii) Ensure that the CHWs are following the Dvara NEEM protocol and code of conduct in all their interactions

(iii) Ensure that the quality of patient data entered by HW meets expectations

(iv) Devising care plans and managing their execution, working with HCWs, to achieve improved outcomes within pre-set timeframes.

(v) Overall, build and role model a culture of patient-centricity, protocol-adherence and continuous improvement among the CHWs.

B) Patient-facing responsibilities

(i) Provide patient-centric support and serve as a dependable source of empathy without any judgment

(ii) Provide medical advice, prescriptions, and navigation services to patients, as envisaged by the Dvara NEEM Protocol - via tele-medicine platforms.

(iii) Provide ongoing periodic check-ins on patients - to ensure adherence/compliance with recommendations made.

C) Responsibilities as a member of a team of healthcare workers

(i) Coordination with program managers; for tasks which require implementation execution; as and when required.

(ii) Data interpretation of medical parameters

(iii) Reporting cases to the Neem Program's specialist panel of doctors. Escalate cases where patients appear to be falling off-track with respect to their mapped medical plan, to the attention of the physician and other clinical staff.

(i) Reporting to the Population Health & Clinical Outcomes . Provide inputs to continuously improve the NEEM protocols.

(ii) Support research and documentation of program results

(iii) Business travel as required, by the organization

Desired Candidate Profile

1. They will be a strong team player and be willing to go the extra mile for patient well-being

2. The ideal candidate would have atleast 3 years- experience as an allopathic (MBBS) doctor

3. They will be flexible about working hours and be able to respond to patient requests on short notice

4. They will be fluent in spoken English and Kannada. This is mandatory.

5. They will be proficient in the use of computer applications, to record information about patient care.

Other Details :

Location : hybrid [75% remote, 15% travel within Karnataka, 10% in-person in Bangalore]

Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience. Benefits will include travel and mobile allowances, life, accident and health insurance.
