- Plan, lead and direct department activities and collaborate with other departments for smooth functioning and effective patient care and management.

- Ideate, recommend, develop or suggest best policies and procedures, to the leadership; to be finally approved by the CEO/ Chair.

- Drive adherence to the policies and procedures & staff safety and by laws across the department

- To ensure that Radiology & Imaging department has standardized clinical protocols in line with evidence based medicines to provide standards care to all patient and achieve medical outcomes of highest standards for our patients.

- The medical outcomes shall be measured by hospital & shared on regular basis for continuous improvement and take appropriate guidance to address any adverse medical outcome as applicable from the mentor.

- Responsible for designing the departmental governance framework and support medical governance of organization.

- Drive Vision, Mission and Values & Behaviors of Reliance Foundation Hospital across the team.

- Direct and coordinate activities between Clinicians, department Doctors and Technicians and manage communications with the Leadership

- Ensure that all scan-related processes are in accordance with recognized standards of performance and service excellence with respect to patient care and confirming to the protocols of the required scan as decided by the department. Implement any change in scan protocols if deemed necessary.

- Propose the privilege delineation for the clinical staff for final approval of Credentialing and Privileging Committee.

- Conduct OPDs as per the credentialing and hospital policy as defined from time to time.

- Treat patients on out-patient basis, admit, investigate, perform procedures or surgeries as per the approved clinical privileges within the organization and treatment procedures

- Collate and analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose disease of the patient

- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized comprehensive medical care to treat / prevent / limit illness, disease, or injury

- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patient and family

- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. Refer patient to other Specialist as and when required after due intimation and explanation to patient / family

- Identify patient's risk status and recommend appropriate intervention to minimize risk

- Ensure accurate exchange of information during care transition and transfer of patients

- Promote use of evidence based practice like site marking based on WHO surgical checklist & hand hygiene protocols in the procedure rooms

- Be actively involved with departments/ department colleagues regarding patient care, scan reporting and all departmental activities.

- Be available to consult with medical staff by telephone or be called back if the situation demands

- Ensure all patient related and administrative documents are accurately maintained and updated ensuring patient confidentiality at all times in HIS

- Review Clinician and Patient satisfaction surveys relating to department and take required measures as necessary

- Participate in intra-departmental meetings, committees and fulfill all responsibilities as assigned.

- Comply with CME credits as per applicable MMC guidelines and ensure the same for the department

- Participate as per the defined role during any internal / external disaster
