JOB DUTIES:

A surgical nurse, also referred to as a theatre nurse or scrub nurse, specializes in preoperative care, providing care to patients before, during and after surgery. To become a theatre nurse, Registered Nurses or Enrolled Nurses must complete extra training. There are different speciality areas that theatre nurses can focus in depending on which areas they are interested in

1)Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans

2) Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse

3) Educates patients on surgical procedures

4) Records patients - medical information and vital signs

5) Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays

6) Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology

7) Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients

8) Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

1. Age: 21-51 yrs.

2. Qualification: Candidate should be graduate/diploma holder in relevant field.

3. Experience- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.

4. Good communication skills (mandatory)

5. Clients should have sufficient funds to sustain in country. Eg: Real Estate Property, Bank Balance Bank Deposits, FD, PPF.
