FOXO - Phlebotomist - DMLT/BMLT (3-5 yrs)
Role Overview:
As a Phlebotomist at FOXO, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services with precision and care. You will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and providing an exceptional customer experience. Your role will involve home sample collection and assist with CGM set-up.. This position requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in phlebotomy practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and arterial blood collection with precision.
- Collect, label, process specimens according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during sample collection.
- Follow strict infection control and biohazard waste disposal protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and lab technicians for efficient workflow.
- Handle specialized sample collection, including fasting, timed, and emergency draws.
- Adhere to NABL, CAP, and other healthcare regulations.
- Manage and maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
Education:
- Diploma/Certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Lab Technology (DMLT, BMLT), or equivalent.
Experience:
- 3-5 years in a hospital, diagnostic lab, or healthcare facility.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and biosafety guidelines.
- Experience in home sample collection
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems.
- Excellent communication and patient-handling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized body
- Experience in metabolic and functional health testing (preferred).
