Intensivist - MBBS/MD/MS/DNB (2-5 yrs)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intensivist to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced medical interventions in the ICU.
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer and oversee life-support measures, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and other critical care procedures.
Procedures:
- Conduct procedures such as intubation, central venous catheter insertion, arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasonography.
- Manage invasive and non-invasive monitoring systems effectively.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with other specialists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Provide clear communication and updates to patients' families about their conditions and care plans.
Teaching and Training:
- Mentor and train junior medical staff, residents, and nurses in critical care practices.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) sessions and clinical case discussions.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure adherence to national and international critical care guidelines and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Essential: MBBS + MD / DNB in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, or Pulmonary Medicine.
Preferred: DM / DrNB / FNB in Critical Care Medicine.
Experience:
- 0.6 to 2 years of relevant experience in critical care or related fields.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in managing critical care equipment and performing ICU procedures.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in critical care medicine.
