1.2.1. Job purpose
The State Clinical Expert - Pediatrics would be responsible for providing leadership and technical guidance in the development and implementation of the program under the guidance of state govt. Ensure regular coordination and monitoring of the facility activities through DPMs with the goal of decreasing the preventable Maternal and Neonatal Mortality cases across the facilities in the district in the entire state.
1.2.2. Duties and responsibilities
Planning:
- Review, refine and implementation of existing clinical protocols in NICU, SNCU & NBSUs.
- Provide Technical Inputs for Development & Implementation of Operational Manual, training manuals and technical reports.
- Capacity building and training of the Clinical Facility staff (SNCU/NBSU) in areas like therapeutic interventions, physical assessments, follow up care.
- Training need analysis of Clinical staff and designing of training plan and implementation.
- Periodic monitoring of the progress of the program activities & outcomes.
- Facilitate adherence to all statutory requirements.
- Validation of the reported clinical data.
- Follow up on the district level reporting.
- Analysis of district/ state level reports.
- Monitoring of the infrastructure, equipment & clinical protocols in SNCU/ NBSU.
- Identifying the Clinical gaps, recommend the focus areas and corrective actions.
- Development of Clinical Improvement plan, coordinate with state for implementation of the improvement plan.
- Periodic review meetings & coordination with stakeholders at various levels to discuss the achievements and outline the course of action.
- Coordination with State Clinical Expert - Gynecology/Obst.
1.2.3. Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
Clinical Experts: MBBS/MD/MS/ DNB/ DCH/ PhD/ in Pediatrics
Experience:
Clinical Experts: Experience of 12 - 15 years or more in respective clinical field and public health programming at state/ national level
Fluent in English & Telegu (Local Dialect)
