Junior Registrar - ICU - Healthcare - MBBS/BAMS/BHMS (2-5 yrs)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Registrar for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with at least 4 years of work experience in an ICU setting. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in MBBS, BAMS, or BHMS and will work closely with senior medical staff to provide high-quality patient care to critically ill individuals. The Junior Registrar will play a key role in monitoring, diagnosing, and managing ICU patients while ensuring the efficient operation of the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Management:
- Assist in the management of critically ill patients under the supervision of the Senior Registrar and Consultants.
- Perform routine and emergency medical interventions as per ICU protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and manage life support systems such as ventilators, dialysis, etc.
- Administer medications, fluid therapy, and manage nutritional support as per the treatment plan.
- Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the ICU.
Clinical Support:
- Conduct regular rounds with the ICU team and document patient progress, treatment plans, and medical histories.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients- families regarding the patient's condition and treatment progress.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, physiotherapists, and other specialists.
Procedural Skills:
- Assist in or perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, etc.
- Ensure the proper functioning and sterilization of medical equipment.
