Job Description :

- Receives or obtains specimens for Laboratory analysis and does order entry.

- Labels bottles, containers, tubes, sample cups in coordination with supporting staff.

- Performs various bio-chemical, microscopic and serological tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease

- Maintains departmental equipment and carry out the daily routine maintenance required as per the guidelines of each equipment. in coordination with supporting staff

- Records lab tests results and may assist in research and technical activities.

- Indenting stock in HIMS, filing and maintaining all pathology and clinical laboratory files.

- Prepare requisition forms and record of specimen to be sent to reference laboratory.

- Prepares and sends samples to reference laboratory for all the outsourced investigations.

- Ensure quality & comprehensive care to patients.

- Not to share any of the quality documents with any other Institution.

- Maintain harmonious relations in the department

- To be aware of departments performance and objectives.

- Rising of various requisitions related to treatment and nursing procedures.

- Taking care of all equipment and ensure they are functioning properly.

- To be responsible for Biomedical Waste management.

- To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.

- Rising of various requisitions related to laboratory and rising indents in HIMS.

- Maintain continuity through clear and concise (Verbal & written) communication.

- Accountable for assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating specific assignment.

- Train the laboratory staff in all aspects of NABH.

- To liaison as a bridge between management and staff.

- Reporting to Pathologist about daily functioning of Laboratory.

- Monitor the quality systems in coordination with the Pathologist.

- Coordination with interdepartmental staff.

- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all matters pertaining to the organizations activities and objectives.

- Ensure departmental objectives are accomplished.

- Any other responsibility assigned by the management from time to time.
