Masters Union - Counselling Psychologist (3-5 yrs)
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and highly organised Counselling Psychologist to join our Student Affairs team. This role is ideal for a qualified psychologist with prior experience in student-centered roles, preferably in school or youth-oriented environments. The advisor will play a critical role in supporting students- academic, emotional, and personal well-being, ensuring they thrive during their time with us.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support & Case Management:
- Serve as the first point of contact for a designated cohort of students.
- Regularly check in with students, offer guidance, and address concerns.
- Manage and document student interactions and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Identify and escalate critical cases to the management, ensuring appropriate support mechanisms are in place.
Operational Excellence & Coordination:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all student support interactions.
- Ensure all student-related requests and needs - academic, emotional, or operational - are resolved efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to coordinate support services, interventions, and student experiences.
Well-being & Development:
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with students as needed.
- Design and deliver wellness or resilience-building workshops (as applicable).
- Monitor student progress and adapt support approaches based on evolving needs.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's in Psychology (mandatory)
- 3- 4 years of experience in a student-facing advisory or counselling role
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- High level of empathy and discretion
- Familiarity with academic environments and youth engagement strategies
- Proven track record of operational discipline and attention to detail
