Position: Matron (Head of Nursing)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Matron to lead nursing operations and ensure the highest quality of patient care across all hospital departments. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing nursing staff, implementing policies, and maintaining compliance with healthcare quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee nursing operations across wards, ICU, OT, and OPD

- Lead, train, and mentor nursing teams, including recruitment and performance evaluations

- Develop and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and protocols

- Monitor patient satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards

- Manage nursing schedules, rosters, and leave plans

- Supervise inventory, medical equipment, and nursing budgets

- Coordinate with doctors, allied health professionals, and support services for smooth operations

- Organize continuous training, skill development, and certification programs for nurses

Qualifications:

- B.Sc. Nursing (mandatory) with valid State Nursing Council registration

- Master's in Nursing or Hospital Administration preferred

- CPR and Basic Life Support certification

- Minimum 7 years- experience as Matron in a 100+ bed hospital

- Proven expertise in nursing administration, staff management, and quality compliance

- Preferred: Retired Armed Forces/Central Police Organization medical service personnel
