Our ideal Medical coder will have a thorough knowledge of Anatomy and Medical terminology. As a medical coder you will abide by the standard protocols of Medical coding but will use your own methods to gain the most accurate information to promote Organizational growth.
Job Description :
- Perform coding for medical encounters with accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements
- Search for information in cases where the coding is complex or unusual
- Ensure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with the guidelines
- Ensure all codes current and active
- Receive and review patient charts and documents for accuracy
Skills/Qualifications :
- Master- s/Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Nursing
- Strong knowledge of Human Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology
- 0-1 years- experience in Medical Coding
- CPC/CCS/CIC/COC Certification from AAPC/AHIMA preferred
- Fluent verbal communication abilities
- Strong reporting skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent typing and accuracy
Must Have :
- Good internet access at home
- Laptop/Desktop of at least 4 GB RAM and Windows 10 OS
