Medical Coder - Patient Driven Groupings Model - Home Health (2-3 yrs)
Job Description :
A certified home health coder is a professional who applies the appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to home health patient records. These codes are used to determine the payment level for each patient under the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), which is the case-mix classification system for home health agencies. Certified home health coders.
- Should have Minimum 2 years in Home health Coding.
- Certified in HCS-D certification through the BMSC and the BCHH-C certification.
- Master coding, regulatory, health information documentation, and OASIS domains.
- Be familiar with the PDGM payment model, OASIS, and other billing and regulatory concepts relevant to home health and hospice.
- Experience with Medicare and CMS
Education/Special Studies :
- Any Bachelor's Degree - This needs to be verified
- 1-2-years- experience in Home Health Coding
- Certified in CCA, CCS, CPC &HCS-D certification through the BMSC and the BCHH-C certification
