- They help with the efficiency and accuracy of data and records of patients. It is a vast growing process in India, many of the companies are acquiring this process on a large scale. With the increasing demand for Virtual Medical Scribes, there is a lot of scope for not only learning a new skill but also an attractive salary package. Many new individuals have entered the medical scribe industry in India over the years, increasing the demand for skilled MTs who can be trained as scribes and for experienced medical scribes. Medical scribing has evolved into an indispensable skill.

- If an individual want to pursue a career as a medical scribe, one can find work within India to scribe for doctors in United States and other developed countries that require medical scribes. Doctors require scribes, and they outsource this work to countries like India. The scribe must meticulously enter all pertinent data directly into the EHR (Electronic Health Record) while simultaneously being able to view and listen to the recordings.

- In order to quickly enter information while the doctor is taking care of the patient, the scribe needs to be familiar with medical terms and drug names.


- A Virtual Medical Scribe works asynchronous with a physician and their care team to complete documentation of clinic visits. Required Qualifications/Experience :

- Required in a medical office, clinical or healthcare documentation or similar academic setting.

- Familiarity with medical terminology & medical summarization.

- Excellent English professional writing skills; including advanced proficiency in grammar and spelling.

- Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects of physicians, their staff, and patients.

- Ability to work independently in a secure and private location with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

- Ability to participate in live video chat and screen sharing sessions for training.

- Experience with the Microsoft Office 365 or other cloud-based productivity tools.
