Medical Superintendent - Hospital - MBBS/MD/MS (7-30 yrs)
Job Description :
We require an Medical Superintendent for multiple locations in India at least 3 candidates . The hospitals are between 150 to 300 bedded
The candidate should be MBBS + MD/MS those who have been in medical practice then moved to administration will be an advantage Experience from 7 to 30 years and age upto 55 years may apply
Recommend a viable budget that ensures optimum excellence in service, patient's satisfaction and planned profitability.
- Set short and long term objectives for the team towards planned targets.
- Recommend policies that meet the needs of Hospital.
- To ensure the Hospital complies with local, state laws and regulations w.r.t Medical compliances
- Develop operational strategies to ensure excellence and patient's satisfaction (Total Quality Management (TQM).
- To recommend the following to the CEO/ED
- To recommend Hospital strategic plans, operational plans, annually.
- To recommend Hospital annual budget, comprising of Capital and Operations Budget
- To Propose the Hospital's annual Safety and Quality improvement plans to CEO/ED and implement the same.
- Reviews reports on quality & patient safety, including reports of adverse and sentinel events on a quarterly basis to the CEO/ED
- To assist CEO/ED in healthcare professionals education programme and for appointing competent authority for overseeing the quality of such programme.
- Regularly review and present the Quality and Operational Indicators.
- Develop resource strategies for profitability and cost control
- Have a preventive maintenance schedule of all equipment and physical assets.
- Assist in renovation/up gradation plans.
- Update organisation structure to meet hospital needs.
- Build healthy, effective relationship between line and staff functions.
- Develop a well motivated and trained team so as to ensure excellence in service.
- Develop and encourage new ideas of innovation for competitiveness.
- Bring about continuous organization change and development to keep it contemporary and market effective.
- Implement continuous training and development of all levels to keep staff up to date in knowledge and skills.
- Develop adequate (PR) with Govt. agencies to satisfy the various statutory requirements of the Hospital.
- To organize accreditation process of the hospital like NABL, NABH, ISO, JCI etc.
- To ensure that health check up camps both inside and outside the hospital are organized by the concerned staff.
- Ensure morale and motivation of staff so that they can meet the Hospital objectives.
- Develop in-house leadership to bring about quality decision-making.
- Develop a downward communication system.
- Keep staff well informed on Hospital and operational issues.
- Implement all statutory requirements of the Hospital.
- Ensure a conclusive working environment.
- Update and implement systems and procedures so that the response to patient is quick.
- Develop update and implement standards to bring about quality in service and products.
- Bring about cost consciousness and implement cost control so as to ensure planned profitability without effecting quality of service and product.
- Improve work methods to improve productivity.
- Conduct weekly operational audits to ensure proper standards are being met.
- Oversee renovation work to ensure that there is no patient's inconvenience.
- Receiving periodic feedback from various departments.
- All matters relating to patient care and treatment.
- Assistance to CEO/ED for fixation of rates of payment for all services provided by the Hospital (e.g. room rent, X-ray and Laboratory tests, O.T., ECG, Medicines etc.).
- Assistance to the CEO/ED in effective day to day functioning of the Hospital.
- Contracts and liaison of medical and non-medical nature with outside agencies including repair and maintenance of diagnostic and other equipments, ward administration and cleanliness.
- Making alternative arrangements for allocation of duties of consultants on leave.
- Meetings with Nursing Staff and other para-medical staff to discuss measures for improvement of patient care and other related matters.
- Supervision of medical records and maintenance thereof.
- All matters relating to para-medical staff including Interns, House Surgeons, Registrars etc. (recruitment, postings leave etc.).
- Supervision of Medical Records and maintenance thereof.
- Administration of Pharmacy.
- Co-ordination of computerization in all areas of the Hospital.
- All matters relating to medical nature of staff engaged by contractors working in the Hospital.
- Supervision of Library and purchase of books, periodicals etc.
- Have a viable manpower plan to ensure productivity, cost control and patient's satisfaction.
- Update rules and regulations and ensure staff compliance so as to bring about organization discipline.
- Conduct appraisals of staff against objectives and standards so as to ascertain performance levels, training and development needs and reward and recognition.
- Take corrective and timely actions for discipline. Ensure healthy staff relations.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated.
- To diligently carryout any other responsibility, job role or task assigned from time to time by the management or superior.
