Operational
- Supervising the correct diagnosis and preparation of semen samples in order for assisted reproduction treatments to be carried out.
- Controlling and supervising the receipt, analysis, preparation, freezing, storage and registration of semen samples from Semen Bank patients.
- Supervising and carrying out the clinical tasks (patient care and advice) and administrative tasks of the Andrology Laboratory.
- Coordinating the Assisted Reproduction Program in men with HIV/Hepatitis C with the other Nova Centres.
- Coordinating the distribution of semen samples from donors with the other NIF Centres.
- Being familiar with health regulations, adapting the Laboratory's activities to these, and ensuring compliance with the legislation currently in force.
- Keeping up to date with publications and new techniques that relate to the Laboratory, with the aim of incorporating improvements into diagnoses and treatments.
- Carrying out research projects.
- Monitoring the functioning and quality of Laboratory equipment to maximise its performance.
- Cleaning and carrying out periodic maintenance of material, according to the protocols established.
- Controlling stocks of materials and reagents, placing orders and replenishing all consumables in the Laboratory.
