Roles & Responsibilities :

- To formulate and implement nursing protocols to ensure compliance with clinical standards of the organization.

- To ensure that the nursing practices in the organization are up to the mark in context with accreditation, regulatory and licensing standards and approved safety program of the hospital.

- To interpret hospital and department philosophy, policies and operating principles as applicable to nursing personnel and related groups.

- To identify the nursing needs of different departments and deploy nurses accordingly.

- To provide support to nursing staff in crisis situation, investigated all unusual incidents and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

- Identify and define quality improvement areas and conduct nursing audits.

- Represent the department on various committees and other activities ensuring collaboration and liaison with other Hospital wide groups.

- Short-list, train, schedule and motivate all nursing staff and get maximum output with respect to time and service standards.

- Manage inter-departmental communication, resolve disputes and / or operational working issues.

- Assess and ensure performance level of staff People-assessment, efficiency etc. Provide counseling and guidance to the nursing staff.

- Identify and design methodologies for growth and development of talents in the department.

- Plan and implement regular monthly meetings with unit in-charges to ensure smooth flow of information and formulate quality improvement plans in a collaborative manner.

- Submit annual report of the nursing services departments to medical superintendent, Indian Nursing Council and Nurses Registration Council
