- Evaluating and diagnosing patients with potential head and neck tumors or cancers.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, including surgical interventions, for patients with head and neck cancer.
- Performing surgeries to remove tumors and cancerous tissues, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Monitoring patients- recovery after surgery and managing any complications.
- Providing post-operative care and instructions to patients and their families.
- Conducting research to explore new techniques and treatments for head and neck cancer.
- Participating in cancer tumor boards to discuss and plan treatment for complex cases.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements and technologies in the field of head and neck cancer surgery.
- Educating medical students, residents, and fellows on head and neck cancer surgery.
