Role : Pharmacist

Job description :

- Dispensing of medications with clear instructions and correct labelling to patient upon approval by the Manager of Pharmacy Services.

- Supply and labelling of all drugs issued to nursing units.

- Enters medication orders into dispensing program accurately and utilizes software correctly.

- Repacks drugs for prompt distribution and dispensing.

- Stock processing-receiving, checking, unpacking, putting away, displaying.

- Provides clear, understandable instructions to outpatients in language known to patients.

- Dispatches drugs to nursing units with proper care and security during transit. Records requisitions accurately.

- Performs quality control monitoring in pharmacy and nursing units on schedule as assigned.

- Prepares purchase orders for approval. Processes invoices and maintains price updates.

- Compiles with standard operating procedures for storage, recording and requisitions of drugs.

- Maintains general cleanliness of department: dispensing counter, measuring glassware, computer hardware and electronic balance.

- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards.

- Manage inventory, order medications and supplies as needed, and monitor expiration dates.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as required by regulatory.

- Identifying drug and non-drug orders.

- Ensure strong quality checks while packing and dispensing medicines.

- Drive vendors to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.

- Auditing all orders for drug name, formulation etc.

- Involve in assisting with regular floor tasks such as packing, inwarding, RTO processing, etc.

- To Assist in Issue & Return of Material against Patient indents from Stores as dispatched by pharmacist.

- Issue & Return of Material against Departmental indents

- Receiving the material at Receiving Bay & Processing of Invoices

- Emergency Cash Purchase

- Receipt of consignment goods & Processing their Invoices on Consumption

- Physical Stock Verification

Preferred candidate profile :

- D.Pharma or B.Pharma degree is a must

- Ability to work in fast paced environment

- Vendor and customer handling skills
