The client is looking to hire a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician for their set up at Bangalore.

Educational Qualifications - MD PMR/ DNB PMR

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical and medical assessments of patients to understand their medical history, current condition, limitations, and goals.

- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Collaborate with senior consultants and other medical professionals to diagnose patients' conditions accurately. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a combination of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological interventions, medication, other interventions, orthotics and assistive devices.

- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer or supervise various therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, neuromuscular re-education, and gait training, to improve patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall functionality.

- Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed based on objective measurements, outcome measures and patient feedback. Make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.

- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Provide guidance on how to perform exercises and activities at home to support their recovery.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other medical specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physiatrists, and occupational physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex conditions.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any changes in patients' conditions.

- Research and Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Engage in professional development activities, teaching, preparing course content, attend conferences, and contribute to research studies.

- Compliance: Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in patient care and medical practice.

- Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department or institution, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and the overall healthcare experience.
