The Cath Lab Technician assists cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as angiography and angioplasty. The role involves operating specialized equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

- Prepare Cath Lab equipment, instruments, and consumables before procedures

- Assist cardiologists during procedures like angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker insertion, etc.

- Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy machines

- Monitor patient vitals during procedures (ECG, BP, oxygen levels)

- Maintain sterile environment and follow infection control protocols

- Prepare and position patients for procedures

- Handle and manage contrast media and related supplies

- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of Cath Lab equipment

- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient data

- Assist in emergency cardiac procedures

- Follow radiation safety protocols for patient and staff protection

- Coordinate with nurses and other OT/Cath Lab staff

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Diploma / Degree in Cardiac Technology / Radiology / Allied Health Sciences

- Certification in Cath Lab Technology (preferred)

- 1- 3 years of experience in Cath Lab / Cardiology department

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of cardiac procedures and equipment

- Ability to operate Cath Lab machines (C-arm, monitors, injectors)

- Understanding of ECG and hemodynamic monitoring

- Attention to detail and quick response in emergencies

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control
