Platinum Hospital - Consultant - Anaesthetist - Freedom Fighter Hakim Ajmal Khan TMC Hospital (1-3 yrs)
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Provide safe and effective anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures.
- Pre-operative assessment and optimization of patients.
- Post-operative care and pain management.
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency and out-of-hours anaesthesia services.
- Support and lead critical care when required (e.g., ICU/HDU).
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient care pathways.
Teaching and Training:
- Supervise and teach anaesthetic trainees, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and support colleagues in CPD activities.
- Contribute to medical student education as required.
Research and Audit:
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and departmental research.
- Contribute to national audits and benchmarking programs.
- Promote evidence-based practice within the department.
Governance and Leadership:
- Attend and contribute to departmental and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Participate in incident reviews, morbidity & mortality meetings, and risk assessments.
- Engage in the development and implementation of departmental protocols and guidelines.
