- Position: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

Role Overview:

The RMO plays a key role in overseeing the medical care of admitted patients, assisting consultants, and collaborating with nursing and allied staff. The position requires strong clinical acumen, proactive patient management, and adherence to hospital policies to ensure high-quality inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patient rounds to assess clinical status, vitals, and treatment response.

- Provide daily medical care under consultant guidance, including monitoring medications and therapies.

- Assist with minor procedures such as IV line placement, catheterization, wound care, and emergency interventions.

- Interpret lab reports, imaging studies, and other diagnostics to support treatment decisions.

- Work closely with nurses, physiotherapists, and consultants for coordinated care.

- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

- Respond swiftly to ward emergencies, stabilize patients, and escalate to consultants as needed.

- Offer guidance and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Solid clinical knowledge with a focus on inpatient care.

- Competence in routine ward procedures and emergency management.

- Strong decision-making, documentation, and patient communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle high-pressure situations.

Qualification & Experience:

- MBBS with valid medical registration.

- 1- 3 years of experience in inpatient wards or similar clinical settings preferred.

- Mandatory: BLS certification; ACLS certification is advantageous.
