Platinum Hospital - Urologist (1-7 yrs)
The Urologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the urinary tract in both males and females, as well as the male reproductive system. The role includes outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, inpatient management, and emergency care while ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients in OPD and IPD with urological conditions.
- Diagnose and treat disorders such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate diseases, bladder conditions, incontinence, and male infertility.
Perform surgical procedures, including:
- Endoscopic surgeries (cystoscopy, TURP, URS, PCNL)
- Laparoscopic urological surgeries
- Open urological surgeries as required
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Manage urological emergencies promptly.
- Interpret diagnostic tests (ultrasound, CT, MRI, uroflowmetry, lab results).
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthetists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care.
- Participate in research, clinical audits, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and ethical standards.
