Job Description
- Patient Care: Oversee the medical care provided to patients within the region/ward
- Ensure that patients receive appropriate and timely medical attention
- Supervise and review patient diagnosis, treatment, and overall care plans
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise medical staff within the region/ward
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to medical personnel
- Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high medical standards
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards
- Investigate and address patient complaints and incidents related to medical care
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, administrators, and departments to improve patient care processes
- Facilitate communication between medical staff, patients, and their families
- Participate in meetings, committees, and initiatives related to healthcare quality and improvement
- Administrative Duties: Manage medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals within the region/ward
- Prepare and manage budgets related to medical services
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient care, staff, and budgets
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response protocols within the region/ward
- Coordinate medical teams and resources during emergencies and disasters
