Professor - OBG - MBBS/MS/MD/DNB/DGO (3-10 yrs)
Job Summary: The Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology will play a leading role in advancing the academic, clinical, and research missions of the department. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, delivering high-quality education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows, and engaging in cutting-edge research in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of academic and clinical excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education:
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training for medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Supervise and mentor residents and fellows, including providing guidance on clinical cases, research projects, and professional development.
- Participate in the design and evaluation of curriculum and educational programs.
- Assess and evaluate student and resident performance, providing feedback and support to facilitate their learning and growth.
Clinical Duties:
- Provide high-quality care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including managing complex cases in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and oversee the delivery of care.
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency care as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Research:
- Lead and conduct innovative research in obstetrics and gynecology, focusing on advancing knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
- Secure funding through grants and other sources to support research initiatives.
- Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Mentor junior faculty, residents, and fellows in research activities.
Service and Leadership:
- Contribute to departmental, institutional, and professional committees and task forces.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning.
- Engage in community outreach and public education related to women's health.
Professional Development:
- Maintain current knowledge of advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain board certification and licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: MBBS, MS/MD, DNB, DGO.
Experience: Significant experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research within the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
