Objective of the Role

- We are looking for a bioinformatics/computational biology research associate (RA).

- As an RA, you will support exciting research projects using bioinformatics to address important challenges, like infectious disease elimination, and management in aquaculture.

- A successful candidate might be someone having strong background in computational biology/bioinformatics with sufficient experience in Genome Analysis. Prior experience with using bioinformatics tools and databases relevant to genome analysis is a plus.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Manage and organize genome datasets.

- Conduct comparative genomic analyses using state-of-the-art bioinformatics tool and techniques.

- Perform genome annotation using bioinformatics tools to predict genes, functional elements, and regulatory regions.

- Scientific report writing

Qualification:

- PhD, Master's or Bachelor's degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.

- Prior working experience in projects related to Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or similar fields.

- Strong familiarity with relevant bioinformatics tools, software packages and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis

- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases relevant to genome analysis.

- Familiarity with high-performance computing environments.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

- Attention to accuracy of data/reports/analysis.
