Exp : 9+ years

- Global and BD Team engagement, PV, Process Control

- Compliance to promotional guidelines, product safety medical information flow and marketing team training.

- Ensuring that the team works to the latest SOPs and validating all promotional inputs and ensure that they are in accordance with guidelines/ SOPs

- Own key interfaces with the Global BD/ marketing team

- Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of the Medical Affairs organization. Efficiently manage budget and headcount, prioritizing highest impact opportunities.

- Appropriately manage risk, and provide guidance and counsel to associates and stakeholders to assure all activities are conducted with the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and according to legal and regulatory requirements.

- KOL Engagement and Medico Marketing/ Scientific Activities

- Develop and establish strong relationships with national/global stakeholders (medical experts, medical societies and managed care organizations). Create, channel and focus the work product of scientific advisory boards.

- Support the ongoing education of the medical community by overseeing the funding independent CME programs, presiding over scientific operations and appropriately responding to unsolicited requests.

- To ensure representation of Biocon with professionalism, credibility and integrity at all internal/external meetings.

- Medico Marketing Support/ New Product evaluation

- Develop cross-functional medical strategy aligned with, and supportive of, commercial strategy. Partner with commercial functions to provide strategic medical insights to shape the portfolio strategy.

- Actively oversee the development and implementation of high-quality medical affairs plans, and provide oversight to ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies and external regulations.

- Actively oversee the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of Medical Affairs clinical trials ( as applicable)

- Ensure timely submission and delivery of high-quality clinical trial documentation, implementation and execution, in compliance with all relevant SOPs and regulations.

- Support, iterate and innovate a communication strategy which properly presents the value of products and science. Ensure integration and optimization of the communication strategy at the portfolio level.

- Provide strategic input to and medical due diligence for business development and licensing.

- Support the ongoing education of the medical community by overseeing the funding independent CME programs, presiding over scientific operations and appropriately responding to unsolicited requests.

- Offer strategic insights on new products for evaluation/in-licencing

- Training and People Management

- Create deep functional bench strength by identifying, attracting and developing a best-in-class Medical Affairs team. Ensure effective coaching and training to build technical and leadership skills for maximum performance and long term succession planning. Cultivate an inclusive, high performance environment that values and leverages diversity of thinking, style and experiences.

- Drive the diverse franchise growth agendas by providing/overseeing strategic medical expertise and input, and by focusing and aligning resources with key priorities in the region with other functions and corporate groups.
