Senior Medical Writer - M.Pharma/PhD/MBBS (2-5 yrs)
Job Title : Sr. Medical Writer
Department : Medical Writing
Reports to : Content Lead- Medical writing
A. Key Purpose of your Job (Position Summary) :
Key purpose of the job is to develop content for different deliverables based on client requirements under the purview of respective content leads.
B. Key Result Areas :
- Develop different type of medical education & communication programs/deliverables such as
1. Training manuals/slides
2. Review articles,
3. Product monographs
4. CME slide deck
5. Newsletters
6. Case reports,
7. Brand Promotional Deliverables
8. Patient Education Deliverables
9. International speaker summaries.
- Content search, editing, storyboard creation for multimedia deliverables such as interactive CDs, patient education films, e-detailing films, websites, animations.
- Primary proofing of documents/ files.
- Delivery of projects/tasks within the given/agreed timelines
- Adherence to processes, scientific code of conduct (reference backed writing) and ethics of writing (no plagiarism)
C. Internal Relationships :
1. Content Lead - Daily - Progress update
2. Group Head - MW Weekly - Review of output
D. External Relationships :
1. Client - Daily/ Periodic As and when required
E. Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, Certifications/ Licenses :
- Educational Qualification: M Pharm, PhD, MBBS, BDS or any other life sciences degree.
- Experience - 2-5 years
F. Skills, Knowledge and Attributes required to be successful in this job :
Skills :
- Good writing and communication skills with flawless English language proficiency
- Ability to present research data to target audience in a reader friendly manner.
- In-depth knowledge of various therapeutic areas
- Knowledge of relevant guidelines related to structure and contents of specific document with good understanding of Vancouver style of referencing
- Familiar with searching medical literature databases such as PubMed, ResearchGate etc
Knowledge : Knowledge in any of the medical fields and allied medical fields.
