Designation: Senior Research Chemist

Location: Navi Mumbai

Exp: 7 to 11 Yrs.

Salary: 10 to 15 LPA.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION :

To conduct research activities, for designated projects under the leadership of the assigned team leader following all prescribed safety norms. Responsible for scaleup campaigns, process safety, housekeeping, maintenance,up-gradation, and repairs of the kilo lab equipment.

MAIN TASK :

- Responsible for scaleup campaign, housekeeping, maintenance, and repairs of the kilo lab equipment.

- Establishes early-stage process development in the lab with a complete evaluation of process parameters,safety concerns and creates process technology transfer package.

- Evaluates, customizes, and reviews process transfer packages for the kilo lab.

- Prepares, organizes, and plans campaigns with external production partners.

- Optimizes process flows and methods of concerned working fields.

- Evaluates process safety parameters and timelines of the projects taken to the kilo lab

- Record documentation about timeline, amounts, and structures of kilo lab campaigns and proposes Capex requirements.

- Train and educate laboratory chemists in process development aspects and handling of the kilo lab equipment.

- Establishes contacts to external production partners and evaluates their facilities for contract manufacturing.

- Adds value to problem solutions (chemical, physical, technological, metrological/numerical, preparative,application-specific, analytical) and transfer results and supervise in kilo lab, lab, production, and other units,internal and external.

- Cooperates in cross-functional project teams.

- Observes security- and environmental policies. Preparation of instruction manuals as well as endangerment assessments.

EDUCTAION AND QUALIFICATION :

Education: MSc in Organic Chemistry

Working Experience: - 8 - 10 years industry experience in process chemistry

Technical & Professional

KNOWLEDGE :

- Experience in scale-up of small molecules, batch processes, process safety

- Broad knowledge of organic chemistry

- At least 3-5 year in working in a kilo lab and scale-up campaigns

- Knowledge about lab automation is desirable

- Proficient verbal and written communication in English
