Senior Resident - Pediatrics - MD/MBBS/DO (0-3 yrs)
Job Summary:
The Senior Resident in Pediatrics is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients, supervising junior residents and medical students, and contributing to the educational mission of the department. This role involves a combination of patient care, teaching, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Manage and oversee the care of pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide emergency care and support as required.
Supervision and Education:
- Supervise and mentor junior residents and medical students, providing guidance and feedback on clinical skills and patient management.
- Conduct educational sessions, including rounds, lectures, and workshops.
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational curricula for pediatric training.
Administrative Duties:
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care with other departments and healthcare providers.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research projects as needed.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance clinical and teaching skills.
Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Experience: Completion of at least [X] years of residency training in Pediatrics.
