Clinical Duties : 

- Conducting thorough examinations of pediatric patients, including physical assessments, medical histories, and developmental assessments. 

- Diagnosing and treating various acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infectious diseases in children. 

- Prescribing medications, therapies, and preventive measures based on the diagnosis and individual patient needs. Monitoring and managing the overall health and growth of pediatric patients, including vaccinations, nutritional guidance, and developmental milestones. 

- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients, such as consulting with specialists or coordinating care plans.

Education and Supervision : 

- Participating in the teaching and supervision of medical students, interns, and junior residents. 

- Conducting lectures, workshops, and case discussions to enhance the knowledge and skills of medical students and junior colleagues. 

- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior residents, including overseeing their clinical activities and assisting with difficult cases. 

- Keeping up-to-date with the latest medical research, advancements, and guidelines in pediatric medicine to ensure evidence-based practice.

Research and Scholarly Activities : 

- Engaging in research activities, such as conducting studies, collecting data, and analyzing findings in the field of pediatric medicine. 

- Collaborating with other researchers and faculty members to publish research papers in medical journals or present findings at conferences. 

- Staying informed about current research and evidence-based practices to incorporate new knowledge into patient care.

Administrative and Professional Duties : 

- Maintaining accurate and updated medical records of patients, including examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress. Participating in departmental meetings, case presentations, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Adhering to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and professional standards set by regulatory bodies. 

- Seeking opportunities for continuing medical education to enhance professional development and maintain licensure.
