Position: Surgeon - General & Laparoscopic
Location: Chabua, Dibrugarh District, Assam (NH 37)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgeon to join a modern, NABH-certified, multi-specialty hospital. The role involves performing open and laparoscopic surgeries, managing pre- and post-operative care, and participating in emergency procedures. You'll work with advanced surgical facilities, ICU, blood bank, NABL-accredited lab, and a multidisciplinary medical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of surgical procedures (open & laparoscopic)
- Handle OPD consultations, admitted patients, and emergencies
- Collaborate with ICU, anaesthesia, and nursing teams
- Maintain accurate surgical records and follow hospital protocols
- Provide guidance to junior doctors and participate in training sessions
Requirements:
- MBBS + MS (General Surgery) from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with MCI/NMC
- 3- 5 years- post-qualification surgical experience
- Proficiency in laparoscopic techniques; emergency surgery experience preferred
- Language skills: English, Hindi, Assamese
Preferred:
- Advanced laparoscopic skills, subspecialty training, or research experience
- Husband-wife medical teams (spouse as Paediatrician/Anaesthesiologist) welcome
- Employment Type: Full-time with on-call duties
